Sipping with The Enemy

With snowy streets and below zero weather here in March, Gustavo was quick to search for brighter horizons down south. Gustavo is our head winemaker who has been Alejandro’s right hand man for over 25 years! Now a proud partner in the company, he’s even more committed to searching for the best grapes especially when it involves a sunny destination.

He landed in Argentina just in time for Vendimia – Mendoza’s harvest festival. The city is filled with parades, special events, tastings, tours and wine all around. His search for the best  wine included visits at Domaine St. Diego,  Andeluna, Domain Bousquet, Salentein and finally landed in the hands of The Enemy – el Enemigo Alejandro Vigil  – head winemaker at Catena Zapata for many years and now receiving praises all around due to his boutique winery Enemigio Wines.

A quick hop over the Andes Mountains to Chile where he continued his extensive visits to various vineyards and wineries. Great wines, great people, great food and breathtaking views – check out some photos!
